Data Scientist (R, Python, SQL)

Who we are

At Yieldigo, we build high-impact, data-driven pricing software used by major retail chains across Europe and the USA. Our R&D team is the brain behind the operation – we develop the analytical core, statistical models, and algorithms that transform massive amounts of complex retail data into precise, actionable pricing recommendations.

We are looking for a Data Scientist who lives for applied statistics and machine learning and wants to see their models running in a real-world product. You won’t just be “doing research” into a drawer; you’ll be a key part of the R&D team, collaborating closely with developers to power the computational engine that drives our entire application.

Our tech ecosystem includes Backend, Frontend, R&D, and QA. Within R&D, your primary playground will be R and advanced statistics, with a healthy dose of Python and SQL. We breathe Agile—think bi-weekly sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—and we take code quality seriously through rigorous reviews and modern dev practices.

Key Responsibility Areas

Evolve the core: Develop, test, and maintain the analytical heart of our software, focusing on statistical models and data workflows.
Bridge the gap: Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to integrate complex algorithms into our high-performance computational engine.
Crunch the numbers: Apply advanced statistical modeling and ML techniques primarily in R, supported by Python and SQL.
Own the process: Participate in agile cycles, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure our solutions are scalable.
Champion quality: Maintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and sharing best practices with the team.

The Math Whiz: You have a genuine passion for applied mathematics, statistics, and the “why” behind the models.
The Coder: You are comfortable in a programming environment with at least 2 years of practical experience, ideally with a strong command of R.
